Hubby's been behaving better, even bought me 2 lb. hand weights and I've started doing exercises (the ones we used to do in grammar school--calesthenics I believe they were called) and feeling a bit firmer about the tummy. We're on separate diets now, I eat brown rice, he eats white rice. I give him my potatoes, he gives me his meats. We're adapting.

My gf likes to use weights and often shows me exercises she has picked up on television from Denise Austin. They are amazingly good and similar to those old calisthenics that we used to do but better. Try to record a few episodes to see if you like her. Note: Maybe I'm the last person to have heard of Denise Austin. :-)

Sounds like you are on the right track there. I use the callanetics videos from Callan Pinckney - do you reckon this Denise Austin is a modern version? I must check her out on the net.... (I know for sure the callanetics videos are going cheap on Ebay, mainly because everyone now has DVD machines!!!)

I remember callanetics! I used to do callentics and have a copy of that video somewhere. I'll have to dig it out. I recall that it worked very well. Thanks for reminding me.
