The scale is finally moving in the right direction again. Not quite at my low from last weekend, but getting close. I don't know what today holds as far as menu planning (which is tough for me, I'm a planner by nature)...have a luncheon to attend and it's catered. It is usually pretty good food, though. There is usually a soup/salad option if you don't want the main offering, so I may go that route if I'm not sure of calories.

I'm still finding it difficult to include all the vegetables I'm supposed to consume each day. That's my big weak spot right now...well, that and trying to get enough protein. Smoothies help a lot with the veggies, but although I like them I don't necessarily want them every day.

I made steel cut oats with blueberries and a spoonful of slivered almonds for breakfast. For dinner I'm making turkey chili, served with a salad. Snacks will be a boiled egg, and probably some fruit...still working on that one. Will be on the go a lot today, a bit of a challenge.

Hmm, weight is up again. Not sure what's going on now. If it were sodium from eating out it should have gone back by now. Could be the calories that I had to estimate were off, but they shouldn't have been off by that much. By my count, calories have been below 1800 every day. Yesterday's final was 1751. Today I only have about 1500 planned. Guess I'll just keep focused ahead and continue as normal. I have been losing weight for the past month, and it has been working up until now, so assuming this is just a bump in the road.

Breakfast was a slice of higher protein French toast (made with egg whites and lowfat cream cheese) with 2 TBSP of sugar free syrup and a small yogurt. Lunch will be egg salad on lower calorie bread (with veggies and orange). Dinner is salmon with half a sweet potato and a salad. Snacks for today are a fruit/veggie smoothie, a 100 calorie pack of almonds/walnuts, and whole wheat crackers with a slice of cheese. I'm a tad low on protein today, so may try to add something to boost it.

Today has been good and bad. Weight was up a bit again (I am currently about .8 lbs over my weigh-in of a few days back. I'll call it "carrot cake's revenge". :) Not too worried though...I know my calorie intake hasn't been that bad. Some things I had to estimate based on similar foods at chain stores, but I think I have been under 1800 every day. I'm not entering my foods on here, but I am tracking it closely. Also on the plus side, today school has resumed so our normal routine has as well. I have been moving all day, taking care of errands, chores, shopping, etc. This is the first time I have sat down since about 6am.

I'm glad I planned out a couple of days meals and snacks last night. When I'm busy like today it makes it easier to stay on track. Had apple cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast, planning tuna sandwich with broccoli and fruit for lunch, 16 bean soup with a cornbread muffin and salad for dinner. Snacks include a sugar free non-fat latte, almonds/walnuts, cheese and wheat crackers, and some plain popcorn. I have a few hundred calories to spare so will probably add in some more fruit and/or veggies. Feels like I have more carbs planned today than usual, but it worked out that way for convenience because I am so busy today. Sticking to the plan though, the weight will be back in the right direction soon.
