Down a bit more today...that's a 2 lb total loss since my last recorded weigh in, 5 days ago. Not surprised it's down...was at my doctors office until lunch yesterday, so I didn't have breakfast or a morning snack. Calories came in somewhere around 1200-1300 for the day. On top of that, new medicines are making me pretty sick...hopefully I will adjust quickly because I hate how I feel right now.

I have been anemic for a while, and have been taking iron supplements since last summer. Unfortunately I'm still anemic, so now have to see a specialist to find out why. New iron supplements to take in the meantime, and twice a day...those as well as the antibiotic he gave me for a sinus infection are the culprits making me ill.

Still going to try for a one mile walk today, even though I'm feeling a bit weak. The walking is really helping with the weight loss. If it feels like too much, I will just do a half mile instead. I have meals and snacks planned out for today, and a to-do list a mile long. Ha. I actually look forward to it after wasting almost an entire day sitting in a doctors office yesterday.

I got my wish, weighed in under 230 today, so it wasn't a fluke before. Feels like I am pretty solidly into the 220's now. My walk yesterday went well...I hope I didn't over do it. I had intended to do about 3/4 mile, up from my 1/2 mile walks last week. I could see the marker though, so I pushed a bit and did the whole mile. It was a little tough, because part was on an incline and my hip is so weak, but didn't feel any pains that made me worry. I'm not going to do it every day though, shooting for three times a week right now...one mile, 20 minutes.

Since I'm not walking today, I'm fasting and stopping by the doctor's office for some overdue blood work. If it doesn't take too long I will come home and prepare food (I should be pretty hungry by then), but 2 to 3 hours is the norm there and I may have to grab something locally. It's mostly fast food, which I prefer to avoid. May stop in at a little diner I know, though, and go for something simple like egg and toast. I usually have the days meals and snacks completely planned by now, but today I'm winging it a bit because I'm not sure when I will have breakfast.

Weight was almost back down to Saturday's low (before the Mexican restaurant lunch). One of my mini goals was 230, I was just below it on Saturday, and exactly on it this morning...but I'm still wary of patting myself on the back until I stop seeing so much fluctuation over and under. If tomorrow morning it registers under again, then I will celebrate (responsibly, without food).

My calories ended up around 1500 yesterday. I made a chicken stir-fry for dinner that ended up containing a number of veggie leftovers from my fridge. It was quite good, and I liked that the veggie count was beefed up so much. I used celery, onions, cauliflower and bell pepper.

I need to do more prep work on food today...still have a pineapple to cut up among other things. Quite a few lemons also, I may juice those for lemonade if I don't come up with a better idea. Calorie plan for today is currently around 1300, but have to retool it because apparently we are having Chilis for dinner. Thankfully they have a pretty decent lighter options menu. It's a new week! Starting it off with my walk soon, and will try to add a few more minutes to my walk time of last week.

Weight up a bit today. Not surprised. We had a lunch for my daughter's birthday yesterday and she chose a Mexican restaurant. I ordered a lunch portion fajitas, and ate a few chips as well. Can't imagine how much sodium I took in. Not sure of the calories either, although I didn't eat it all. I tried to look up estimates and there was just so many items to look up I decided this was just going to be one meal that went without numbers. The rest of the day my food was healthy. Had trout for dinner, and it seemed to be a hit. We will be adding it to the list of seafoods we eat.

Today my meal plan is extremely low in calories so I'm still tinkering with dinner and evening snacks. It's only at about 1200 calories right now. All I had for breakfast was fresh made orange juice and a slice of sourdough toast. Lunch was salmon and vegetables. Dinner is likely going to be a chicken stir fry, light on chicken and heavy on veggies. Trying to find some family activity for this afternoon to get us outdoors but so far nothing seems to be calling to us. Maybe we will just prepare for the week to come instead. Tomorrow morning it's back to the walking.

Good drop today, almost a lb. It was a busy day yesterday, I did my 1/2 mile walk then did errands and shopping. When I checked my phone app later I had over 3 miles logged. I was feeling it too, my muscles were tired...but my hip handled it without any significant issues.

Today I picked up my co-op produce and am in the process of sorting and meal planning. Not as much fruit as I'd hoped, but tons of good veggies and many of the staples I like to have on hand (celery, carrots, bell peppers). My market had trout yesterday, so I bought some for dinner tonight, and will accompany it with a lot of the fresh produce...corn, cauliflower. I have more carrots and celery than I will ever use up in recipes over the next two weeks, so think I'm going to spend some time this afternoon doing food prep...cutting up veggies and making snack packs to eat raw, freeze some for soups later. The most important aspect of my healthy eating journey...planning ahead.
