So I started this journey because of the same issues many of us have. High blood pressure, asthma, gout, high sugar and probably heading towards many other issues. A lot of this has gotten better already as I would have expected after getting this far. But here is the surprising thing. Well surprising to me. Since my early teens I have had athletes foot and jock itch very severely. Dozens of doctors visits, different creams, sprays, even some medicines. Nothing ever made it go away.
I realized when I got up this morning that it’s gone. No itching. No rash. No nothing. Are you kidding me! After all these years all I had to do was eat better and drink water? A very happy surprise but seriously wish I knew about this 47 years ago.

15 weeks in and 4lbs away from my half way mark. I made a deal with myself that when I broke 200lbs I would buy a bicycle. I am down to two choices. Can’t decide between carbon fiber frame or steel. I have another 8-10 weeks to decide, at least.
Goal for next year will be to rediscover my bicycle touring legs. My longest single day ride was 154 miles so that is something I would like to beat. No OTB for me. Roadie at heart!

Well I hit my 50lb mark on last Saturday’s weigh in. Felt great losing 8 lbs during two weeks of travel and a very heavy work load. Then I laced up the shoes and went out for an 8 mile walk to track down the last 70lbs.
Then the train came off the tracks. Two weeks, 4 airports. 2 rental cars, 3 hotels, training 40 people, picked up a cold virus. My body hasn’t seen one since pre pandemic and it’s laid me flat on my back. Dammit.
Can barely stand up the hell with exercising. Lungs are starting to break up. Another couple of days and I will hopefully be past it. Just in time to hit the road again. Not expecting much on this Saturday’s weigh in but that’s ok. I haven’t had any garbage at all even with the travel. Just have to stick to it.
